As we look ahead to 2023, Eastrail Partners is seeking community groups, neighbors, artists, and others interested in bringing new trail users to the Eastrail! In alignment with our mission to make the Eastrail for everyone, every day, we welcome anyone who has creative ideas, but especially seek partners who represent the diversity of the Eastside, and want to co-create welcoming programming that engages community members who are not currently accessing the Eastrail.
We have two opportunities for partnership, with both financial and in-kind resources available to support events:
As we did in Fall 2022, Eastrail Partners would like to continue to encourage community members to access the trail, even in less-than-optimal weather. We hope to host a monthly community walk in different areas of the trail. We invite community members who are interested in gathering a group for a walk, run, or bike ride along the trail, to reach out with their ideas. Eastrail Partners can support these events with promotion, route planning, coordination, and financial resources that will encourage participation, like food or transportation support.
To help bring awareness to the new amenities at Feriton Spur Park in Kirkland, Eastrail Partners is planning a series of performances at the new amphitheater and park area during Summer evenings in 2023. We are actively seeking artists, musicians, cultural groups, and any others interested in performing for an outdoor, all-ages audience this Summer during July or August. Eastrail Partners can offer financial compensation, staff support, and amplification to performers.
If you or your organization are interested in being part of either a community walk or Summer performance, please reach out to Community Collaboration Manager Colin Petkus at [email protected]. We are excited to hear from you!
