We envision an Eastrail that is for everyone, every day.
As the nonprofit that unifies and galvanizes the Eastrail effort, our mission is to create a thriving trail that reflects the diversity of the Puget Sound in partnership with communities, business, and governments to raise awareness, secure trail funding, and connect people to each other and the trail. Eastrail Partners collaborates with communities, advocates for trail funding, and mobilizes private sector engagement to create a fully-connected 42-mile Eastrail for everyone, everyday. We build relationships with communities, building diverse support for the trail. We believe Eastrail should be accessible for all, especially for individuals and communities who might not traditionally feel comfortable in this space: we are committed to an inclusive Eastrail that is welcoming to all.
Many of our founding board members have been involved in this effort for years, serving on the Eastrail Funding Commission.
