Other areas of support
Eastrail Partners strongly supports robust investments for outdoor programs like Washington Wildlife & Recreation Program (WWRP), the Land & Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), and other related programs. This type of project funding is important for future trail amenity projects like trailheads and trail-adjacent projects that enhance the trail experience.
Eastrail Partners supports new investments in bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, neighborhood connectivity, and safety enhancements to help increase connections from Eastrail and other regional trails into communities and to transit options, like the Grand Connection Crossing improvements in Bellevue.
We support City of Redmond’s requests for the SR 520/148th Bike-Ped Overpass project to include multimodal safety and access improvements in the Overlake area that dovetail with the opening of the Overlake Village Pedestrian Bridge and the Redmond Technology Station Bridge. We support the continued goals of increasing pedestrian safety and providing multimodal connectivity to services for residents and workers in this area, amplifying connections to regional trails like the Redmond Central Connector of Eastrail and light rail stations.
