Eastrail Partners was honored to bring together Eastrail enthusiasts, elected officials, and corporate sponsors to celebrate the end of another summer season on the trail and raise funds to support our focus of making the Eastrail for everyone, every day.

With generous support from Amazon and Puget Sound Energy, a full room of Eastrail enthusiasts gathered in Bellevue to connect with each other, and to hear from King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci, community leader Debbie Lacey, and members of the Eastrail Partners Board of Directors about the importance of Eastrail to communities on the Eastside, and Eastrail Partners’ role in unifying and catalyzing the the Eastrail effort.

The Eastrail, a 42-mile rail to trail project stretching along the banks of lake Washington from the city of Renton at the south to Snohomish at the north – connecting to light rail and rapid ride stations, 6 cities, multiple regional trails, and providing a slice of green through our rapidly growing region for the hundreds of thousands of people living and working along it – is no longer just an ambitious idea; it is actively being funded and built, and the miles of open Eastrail are being enjoyed every day.

Thank you to the Eastrail community for supporting our work. As the “friends of” nonprofit for the Eastrail, we unify and catalyze the effort through community co-creation, coalition building for successful trail advocacy, and bringing corporate engagement and support to the effort. We are proud to have helped lead the successful acquisition of more than $73M to the Eastrail effort since we began operations in 2020. As our name implies, this work is all about partnerships – governmental partners and leaders, community partners, and business partners. Supporting Eastrail Partners is the most direct way to support this trail.

Eastside for All Executive Director Debbie Lacey shares about community building on Eastrail

Eastrail Partners extends our gratitude to the many supporters who helped us raise over $10,000 through this gathering – exceeding board members Matt Cohen and Stacy Graven’s $7,500 match in support of the Eastrail effort. If you would like to support our mission, please consider donating today.
