With a global soccer tournament kicking off this week and several matches being played right here in Seattle, communities along the Eastrail are hosting watch parties and celebrations throughout June and July.

As visitors travel throughout the region for matches and events, the Eastrail’s direct connections to light rail provide an easy way to get to games, watch parties, and other destinations—without sitting in traffic.

Soccer Events Along the Eastrail

Here are just a few soccer-themed events taking place on or near the Eastrail:

Ride to the July 19 Celebration in Redmond

To celebrate the tournament’s final match on July 19, Eastrail Partners is excited to host a community bike ride from Totem Lake to Redmond’s watch party at Marymoor Park.

Meet us in the morning at Totem Lake Playground for coffee before joining a casual, family-friendly ride along the Eastrail to Marymoor Park. Once there, participants can enjoy community celebrations, games, and a watch party open to all.

Visit Eastrail.org later this month for additional details and RSVP information.

Bikes on Light Rail

With multiple direct connections to light rail, the Eastrail makes it easy to combine biking and transit while avoiding the traffic expected as thousands of visitors come to the Seattle region this summer.

Please note that to preserve space on trains, Sound Transit will not allow bicycles onboard trains serving Seattle on match days. If you’re planning to ride and take transit, consider using Sound Transit’s secure bike parking program, available at all 2 Line stations.
